Favorite knits - pt1 + Code
Summer is here - and with it a lot of sun, long days and mild evenings. I don't know about you, but I like to knit in the summer, even when it's hot. :-)
I have put my favorite summer knitting projects for you in this series (and even have a little surprise code for you below!).
First and foremost, I'll start with Part 1 and my all-time favorites:
The sneaker socks from the Twigs & Branches Collection are still my absolute favorites when it comes to summer socks. You've probably already noticed how much I love this beautiful lace pattern and that's exactly why I've developed several designs from it. It just fits anywhere.
For the summer I turned it into light, airy knitted socks for us.

You´ll need:
YARN epipa yarns Sockyarn Classic, colorway peach
NEEDLES DPN* 2,5 und 3,0 and/or
SKILLS Knitting in the round, yarn over, increases and decreases
ADDITONAL Stitch marker, wool needle
The PATTERN includes instructions for six sizes.
The SOCKS are knitted top down, i.e. from the cuff to the tip with a heelflap. The individual work steps are explained step by step, which also makes the pattern easy for beginners.
Except for the heel and toe, the socks in this pattern can be knitted with double pointed needles or in combination with circular knitting needles.
Tips and tricks for knitting with circular needles are also included in the pattern. However, working with the circular knitting needle is optional and is left to your own preferences. The socks can of course also be knitted with normal double pointed needles.

SWITCH YARN
Instead of our Sockyarn Classic, our pattern can also be knitted with Shiny Merino
The finely shimmering Merino-Tencel yarn feels wonderfully light on the skin and is even more comfortable to knit than Sockyarn Classic when it's hot.
A little PS: Whenever you swap yarns, it's a good idea to do a stitch test to achieve the desired dimensions.
